Work Description: Assists the Business Performance staff by providing programming and database management support for
various departments within the Knoxville Utilities Board. Programming support may include, but is not limited to, creating and/or
modifying code, testing functionality, monitoring performance, learning and documenting business functions and creating
specification/requirements documentation, documenting system changes, designing and updating database, and documenting test
cases and results.

Minimum Qualifications
• Must be and maintain full-time student status of an accredited college or university pursuing an Associates, Bachelors, or a
graduate-level degree
• Must possess basic computer skills (MS Office and other related applications)
• Must have and maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or better
• Must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week
• Good oral and written communication skills
Physical Demands: Physically able to perform the required tasks and responsibilities; the physical requirements for a specific
positions will be described to the applicant immediately prior to or during the interview.
Preferred Qualifications
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field
• Experience with MS Office
• Experience with Visual basic and Microsoft Access
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL (Structured Query Language)
