Campaign Associate, Workforce Giving

Position Description

Position Title: Campaign Associate, Workforce Giving                               

Department/Division: Resource Development                             

Reports To: Director, Workforce Giving                                     

Position Status:   Full Time                                                                                                          

Purpose of Position:   The primary purpose of the Campaign Associate is to assist in planning and implementing the  

Annual campaign including, but not limited to responsibilities in the areas of volunteer training, and coaching.

Key Areas of Responsibility (include %):   Annual Campaign (50%):  Be a resource to Division Chair(s) and others in Unit; Work with Division chair(s) to establish goals; Identify problem areas and offer solutions; Plan strategy with Division Chair(s); Accompany Division Chair(s) on CEO calls as needed; Help in scheduling and arranging meetings; Coordinate New Hires program among present and  potential accounts; Assist in the recruitment of new and existing companies to conduct first-time and on-going campaigns;  Assist in campaign planning and training; Be a resource to and manager of assigned campaign volunteers.

Relationship Building/Campaign Growth (30%) will make a minimum of five (5) face to face calls per week on individuals, corporations (new and existing accounts).  

Campaign Training (10%): Identify orientation and training needs to motivate and inform volunteers in conjunction with related staff.

Other Duties as Assigned (10%):  This part of the job will evolve over time to match the candidate’s strengths with the needs of the organization.

Qualifications:   Bachelor’s Degree (preferred), or equivalent. One year previous fund raising/volunteer engagement experience preferred.  Strong oral and writing communications skills a must.  United Way experience highly preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities:   N/A

Budget Responsibilities:   N/A

Equipment/Computer Software Skills:   Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail and Internet use.  Database management experience.

Physical Requirements:   Lifting (40lb), sitting, and standing for extended periods of time, reliable transportation.                                         

Additional Information: Must be team oriented, and possess the interpersonal skills to work with diverse populations, staff, and volunteers. Must be highly motivated to deliver great customer service and professionalism.
