Work Description:	Assists the Information Services staff by providing service desk technician support for Knoxville Utilities Board staff. Service desk support may include, but is not limited to, prompt monitoring of the users’ help requests (system requests/email/phone/walk-in), desktop computer setup and support, training, troubleshooting, resolution of network issues, email support, IP telephony support, voicemail support, software deployment, and general troubleshooting.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:	Must be a full-time student of an accredited college or university pursuing an Associates, Bachelors, or a graduate-level degree in Computer Science Must maintain full-time student status Must have and maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or better Valid Tennessee drivers license Must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week Good oral and written communication
Physical Demands:	Sedentary work; exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time in normal office conditions, but does involve walking or standing outside periodically for inspections, customer calls, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:	Experience with the administration of a Microsoft Windows Server MCP, A+, Network+ Certified Experience with VMWare and supporting products. Experience with Object Oriented development (C++, JAVA, or .Net) Experience with Visual basic and Microsoft Access
