Work Description: Works in a team oriented environment primarily as a network administrator with additional emphasis towards IT security administration.  Must work closely with end users, other system administrators, and application developers to adapt, implement, and maintain hardware and software for all networking equipment. Provides technical support, testing, and problem diagnostics. Ability to completely manage assigned systems including system reliability, patching, security, back-up, and change management and demonstrate the ability to take ownership of these systems. Must be open to stand-by, working after hours/weekends, and on-call duties. Team oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.  
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent; 5+ years of experience in the field of advanced network management with IT security elements: Must be able to independently manage a complex Cisco network; Working knowledge and understanding of IT security and secure network design; Experience with the administration of a Microsoft Windows Active Directory network; Ability to properly install, configure, support and manage network devices and Microsoft Windows servers; Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Tennessee driver’s license  
Physical Demands: Sedentary work; exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time in normal office conditions, but does involve walking or standing outside periodically for inspections, customer calls, etc. Work requires no unusual physical demands.  Note:   The physical demands described above are intended to relate the approximate physical demands of the classification.  Physical demands for a specific position within this classification may vary and / or exceed those demands described above. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related experience; Experience with the administration of Cisco devices including Identity Services Engine (ISE), wireless, switches, and routers; Experience with advanced fiber optics and copper network design; Experience with the administration and management of F5 devices (LTM, APM, ASM); Expert knowledge of network protocols, BGP, OSPF, VRF, OTV, VLAN, 802.1x, DNS, DHCP; Experience in advanced troubleshooting using tools like network sniffers, scanners, monitors, Cisco TAC and testing equipment; Understanding of data center management including power, HVAC, and fire suppression systems; Have or is working toward gaining Cisco and/or IT Security certifications; Participation with Disaster Recovery strategies, planning, and testing; Experience with VMWare ESXi management; Good cable management / organization practices; Provide 24/7 support in a team environment; Self-motivated and able to lead and work independently to complete projects; Working knowledge of SCADA, Automated Meter Infrastructure, microwave, and WiMax technologies; VOIP phone system management, specifically Avaya equipment in a call center environment;  Experience with Checkpoint Firewall management, IT Security, IDS/IPS, Web Filtering
