Specific Job Responsibilities:

Role:

The Production Specialist directly supports production management in the technical execution and integration of production

responsibilities within the assigned production area.

Responsibility:

The Production Specialist is responsible for:

Representing Production Operations in identification and resolution of problems which impact product schedule or quality

Monitoring, coordinating, and resolving issues related to production schedules, facility condition, and equipment/tooling

availability

Supports Production Operations management in liaison with bargaining unit employees, overtime management, training

status, staffing actions, and other personnel activities as requested.

Assists supervisor with implementation of Conduct of Operations requirements and practices including conduct of

assessments and surveillances, crew briefings, implementation of corrective actions, required reading, calibration tracking,

procedural documentation requirements, material accountability tracking, etc.

Performs other duties as assigned to provide leadership in maintaining safe working conditions, proactively preventing

injuries, contaminations, and exposures, and supporting the safe, efficient, and effective flow of work within the production

area

Accountabilities:

To the Production Support Manager and the Front Line Supervisor for timely and through completion of assigned tasks that

assist in completion of supervisory responsibilities

To the System Health Manager for support in identification and resolution of facility condition or process equipment issues

Authorities:

Authorized to manage the production craft workers to support mission deliverables when assigned as a relief supervisor

Authorized to represent workers in development of procedures and operating protocols that directly affect the work

conditions and job performance

Specific Job Knowledge & Training Required:

Y90-027 Technician Requirements: 1 year experience in nuclear facility operations.

Additional Job Specific Requirements: Requires a high school degree and an additional 4 years' experience in

manufacturing related operations. Requires strong technical, organizational, and computer skills. Must have a general

understanding of the bargaining unit contract. Relevant experience applicable to the specific production area of posting is

preferred.

A Q clearance and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP) is required. For HRP, candidate must complete a

counterintelligence scope polygraph, pursuant to 10 CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply. Position may require entry

into materials access areas.
