Work Description: Assists the System Operations staff by providing programming and database management support to the
Knoxville Utilities Board staff. Programming support may include, but is not limited to, creating and/or modifying code, testing
functionality, monitoring performance, learning and documenting business functions and creating specification/requirements
documentation, documenting system changes, designing and updating database, and creating and updating web content for an intranet
site.

Minimum Qualifications
• Must be pursuing an undergraduate Associates or Bachelors degree, or a graduate-level degree.
• Must be a full-time student of an accredited college or university and maintain active student status.
• Must have and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
Physical Demands: Physically able to perform the required tasks and responsibilities; the physical requirements for a specific positions will
be described to the applicant immediately prior to or during the interview.
Preferred Qualifications
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field
• Experience with Object Oriented development (C++, JAVA, or .Net)
• Desire to learn to develop Web Applications
• Experience with Visual basic and Microsoft Access
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL (Structured Query Language)
