All About Women - A message from Pat Summit
You know it’s going to be a good day when, in a single stop, you can try belly dancing, repair a toilet, take care of all those nagging financial obligations (like setting up a living will, a serious budget and a plan of attack to improve your credit score), check your cholesterol and tend to your physical and spiritual health without spending a dime.
All About Women, an interactive, day-long experience is coming to Knoxville on Saturday, August 29, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Knoxville Convention & Exhibition Center located at World’s Fair Park.
Women from every walk of life are encouraged to break free from their everyday obligations, grab their mothers, daughters, sisters and friends, and take advantage of the more than 100 different FREE services and activities geared especially for women.
All About Women is not just an event, it’s an interactive experience that makes it easy for you to take care of yourself. It’s everything for women, who, let’s face it, are so busy taking care of everyone else that they put their own health needs last.
Kicking off the Main Stage day at 10:00 a.m. with a get-your-blood-pumping show is Divabetic®. Whether it is a cancer prevention musical revue, exploring your inner Diva, or comedian Leanne Morgan, we promise you’ll laugh while you learn.
Mercy Health Partners and its Wellnesse for Women program will host the Health section with free cholesterol, blood pressure, BMI, bone density, eye screenings and more. The Home Depot experts will help you caulk, patch and paint, repair a toilet, install a faucet, gain basic tool knowledge and explore your inner gardener. You can also learn how to manage your kids and your resources, home safety techniques, even get a fresh work look or a new hobby. Over 100 different free services will be available.
